ŞUAQ
a rave and audiovisual series, co-founded and produced with one ambition: to give experimental electronic music somewhere to exist in kazakhstan. there was no venue for it and no audience habit around it, so the format had to build both.
editions since 2025 and running, around 2,000 people, the last one staged inside a canyon in kazakhstan.
the site had nothing on it — no power, no road in, no cover. the production was built from zero: power and sound, staging, camp, access, medical, and the permit and risk framework for a protected landscape. artistic direction and the lineups sit on the same desk as the production. the programme is made with the label xternal domain, and brought slikback to the canyon for a joint showcase — an artist whose work sits exactly where this series wants central asian electronic music to be heard: internationally, and on its own terms.

BI Group — immersive installation
bi group, central asia's largest developer, was presenting a new business centre behind closed doors. the building's identity was drawn from the charyn canyon, so instead of a rendering on a screen we built the canyon as an object you could touch.
the centrepiece was a table: projection mapped along its whole surface, with real stones brought in from the canyon itself resting on it. a depth sensor read the hand reaching for a stone, and each stone triggered its own response in the mapping — the geology, the masterplan, the light. guests read the building by handling the landscape it came from.
produced end to end: the concept with the creative and technical leads, the fabrication of the table, the trip for the stones, the mapping and sensor pipeline, calibration on site, and the run of the presentation itself.

adidas TERREX — HIKE & BASS
a hiking-and-music format for adidas terrex with bbdo kazakhstan, held at big almaty lake, 2,500 metres up.
programmed the music and led the artist booking — choosing acts that would work at altitude, on a mountain, for a brand audience rather than a club one, then negotiating and contracting them, with riders and logistics behind it.
music programmer · artist booking lead · 15+ internal team

both halves of it were mine: creative direction on the work — strategy, concept, casting, photo and video, post — and the operations underneath, meaning pipeline, resourcing, margins, the vendor network and the client relationship. clients included jägermeister, chanel, yandex go, indrive and alternativa film festival.
creative and operations director · agency lead · multi-city delivery on fixed deadlines
üi küii
an audiovisual performance built on kazakh instrumental music, staged in a theatre in almaty.
produced end to end: budget, venue, crew, rehearsal schedule, technical rider and the show itself — holding the line between what the artists wanted and what the room and the money could carry.
